VAUDE invited a group of local refugees to its product facilities in\u00a0 Tettnang, Germany to make bags out of residual materials<\/strong>.
\nWorking together with the Tettnang Asylum Network, a pilot project
\nwas created in just a few months: refugees attended workshops
\nat our premises and manufactured the products.
\nThe company could offer immigrants an opportunity for meaningful activity and they also gained work experience in Germany. Two participants of the workshops have now been employed by VAUDE
\nat its manufacturing facility here in Tettnang.<\/p>\n

At the same time, we saw that the bags passed their first “market check”. So we have now arranged financial support to continue bag production with the refugees and will be delivering them to retailers as a special package.<\/p>\n
