Conditions of participation
1st prize draw: These conditions apply to the “VAUDE Enjoy your Ride Prize Draw” (hereinafter referred to as “Prize Draw”). The competition is organized by VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG, Vaude Straße 2, D-88069 Tettnang, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “VAUDE” or “Organizer”).

2nd prize: VAUDE and its competition partner Rückenwind Reisen GmbH will raffle an e-bike trip for two people around the IJsselmeer as the first prize for the winner and one accompanying person. Further information at www.rueckenwind.de / code: NL-IJRHH-

The winner may take an accompanying person of his or her choice on the e-bike trip, provided the accompanying person is over 18 years of age. This winner will need a passport that is valid for at least another 6 months.
A cash payment or transfer of the prize is not possible. The prize can only be redeemed as advertised and only during times agreed with the respective competition partner. (Certain exclusion periods apply, e.g. holidays, high season)

The 2nd prize is a bicycle bag eBack Single and the 3rd prize is a handlebar bag eBox both from the brand VAUDE.

3. right to participate: Only persons with registered residence in Germany, Austria or Switzerland are eligible to participate. Only one entry per person is allowed. The prize is not transferable to other persons. Employees of the VAUDE company and the VAUDE Stores and their relatives are excluded from participation. Participants who have provided false or invalid or untrue information may be excluded from participation in the competition at any time. Participation via an automated service (e.g. competition service) automatically leads to exclusion from participation in the competition.

4. execution of the competition: The competition begins on 15.02.2020 at 12:00 and ends on 30.06.2020, 10:00. Entries that are registered after the closing date cannot be considered. In order to participate in the competition, the participant must submit the online form at https://inspire.vaude.com/vaude-enjoy-your-ride/ with the correct answer.

It is expressly not necessary to purchase goods from VAUDE in order to participate or increase the chance of winning.

5 Processing of the competition: The winner from all valid participants shall be selected by employees of VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG shall determine the winner from all valid participants at random. VAUDE shall send the winner an e-mail in order to contact the winner. If the winner does not contact VAUDE within one week, the claim to the prize shall lapse without compensation. VAUDE will then determine a new winner for the trip and the prizes.

The winner agrees to be published with his/her name on the website. In addition, the winner agrees that after the end of the e-bike trip, an experience report including pictures can be created, which VAUDE may use for its own communication measures. For this purpose, the winner may be contacted by VAUDE, or by a third party commissioned by VAUDE.

A cash payment of the prize is excluded. The claim to the prize cannot be assigned or transferred.

No rights other than those specified in these conditions of participation may be derived from the competition.

6 Liability: VAUDE shall only be liable – irrespective of the legal grounds – if VAUDE is responsible for a breach of duty, the fulfilment of which is essential for the proper execution of this competition, the breach of which endangers the achievement of the purpose of the competition or on the compliance with which the participants/winners can regularly rely (cardinal obligation). In this case, the liability of the organiser is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. Liability for savings not achieved or other remote consequential damage caused by defects is excluded. A liability for material defects and defects of title of the profit is also excluded. The aforementioned limitations or exclusions of liability also apply to the personal liability of the organs, employees and vicarious agents of the organizer.

VAUDE shall otherwise be liable without limitation if it can be accused of gross negligence or intent. In the event of injury to life, body or health, the Organiser shall also be liable for slight negligence.
The risk of loss or damage to the prize shall pass to the winner upon delivery of the prize to the shipping/transport company.

VAUDE reserves the right to terminate, change or postpone the competition at any time and without prior notice, should it become apparent that for actual or legal reasons the proper execution cannot be guaranteed. In such a case VAUDE excludes any liability or any claims for damages. In particular, VAUDE is entitled to change, discontinue, cancel or suspend the competition if

– during the execution of the promotion, Facebook’s promotion policies would be changed so that it could not be executed according to Facebook’s current regulations, or the contest would be stopped for any reason by Facebook;

– a proper implementation (especially in the event of hardware or software failure, program errors, computer viruses or unauthorized interference by third parties, as well as mechanical, technical or legal problems) is no longer guaranteed.

7th Data protection: The personal data collected during the competition (e-mail address, date of birth) will only be collected for the purpose of the competition. Personal data is required to contact the winner.

We process the data as long as this is necessary for the respective purpose. The recorded data will be deleted by us after processing, at the latest 12 weeks after the survey is completed.
Your data will not be passed on.
Your personal data will only be processed by us on systems located in Germany.
The participant has the right to withdraw his or her consent at any time by writing to VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG, Vaude Straße 2, 88069 Tettnang, Germany, or by email to service@vaude.com. In the event of revocation, the participant shall withdraw from participation in the competition.

Any additional consent of the participant in accordance with the data protection law consent to the dispatch of newsletters by VAUDE shall not affect the participant’s chances of winning.

8. miscellaneous: The organizer will conduct the lottery in accordance with the applicable law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal action is excluded.
